Tim Gnau is the President of Sterling Financial & Realty, Inc. The best description of Tim is his energy, experience, and his love of being a national broker for over 40 years and taking the deal(s) “over the goal line”.
Tim graduated from Emporia State University receiving a BSB degree and was immediately drafted during the Vietnam War into the Army. He received an “Early Out” to attend the University of Kansas Business Graduate School for a MSB degree.
His working career began at First Mortgage Investment Co. In Kansas City as a Commercial Mortgage Banker representing Metropolitan Life, Cigna, Nationwide, Provident Life & Accident, State Farm Insurance, Phoenix Mutual and other institutional Investment firms. After five years he joined the firm known today as Northmarq, one of the largest mortgage banking firms in the U.S. Tim was a Sr. V.P and was the top producer when he left Northmarq and joined the national firm of Pearce, Urstadt, Mayer, & Greer out of New York City. Tim was a Sr. V.P. and Manager of the Kansas City Office and out of 30 brokers, Tim was always in the top five for overall production and led the company two years out of the nine years that he worked there. In 1991 he formed Sterling Financial & Realty, Inc. as a national brokerage firm and is the President of this firm today.
